Collection: Ice Skates

Skates from the country where lakes freeze reliably every winter, and where children grow out of them just as reliably.

The collection covers hockey skates, recreational skates and Nordic tour skates for adults and children. Tour skates — long blades that clip onto cross-country ski boots — are worth knowing about if you have never seen them: on wild ice they cover distance in a way no ordinary skate can.

Blade condition is described honestly in every listing. Assume any used skate will want sharpening before it goes on ice.

Each listing gives the EU size, the US size and the insole length in millimetres. Skate sizing usually runs about one size below your shoe size, but brands differ, so use the measurement.
